Harbin Architecture Art Museum is located on the south bank of Songhua River. It is a professional museum exhibiting the history and the culture of the city and the architectural art. It consists of Sophia Church which is the historical and the former Now Synagogue Which is the building under the municipal protection. Sophia Church was established in 1907 with the total height of 53.35 meters and the floor space of 721 square meters. It is the most perfectly preserved typical Byzantine building in china at present. The building with the history of nearly 100 years iis full of attractive colors. The wall paintings, the ceiling lamps, the bell tower, the dome and the choir all reveal the colorful human landscapes and the artistic characteristics with the special inventive mind. It has the great historical and cultural value and architectural art viewing value. The majestic and grand dome and the simple, unsophisticated and elegant wall decoration represent the amorous feelings of Europe.

  The former Now Synagogue was established in 1918 with the building area of 2,400 square meters. It is the biggest Synagogue in China. The huge double circle center dome, the pointed arch colonnade and the Judaism Star of David all annotate the attractive and abstruse architectural art. Many Jews who have lived in Harbin come over from long distance for visit and reminiscence. Countless tourists make their tour and stay here to see the majestic appearance.
