哈尔滨市建筑艺术馆成立于1997年，是国家AAA级旅游景区——索菲亚教堂景区的管理机构，隶属于哈尔滨市建设局，主要负责挖掘、收集、整理和保存地方及国内外著名建筑艺术资料，开展建筑艺术研究和咨询服务工作；组织各类展览活动，弘扬建筑文化；负责索菲亚教堂内外部修复和日常管理工作，逐步恢复其历史风貌；承办全省、全国建筑艺术方面的学术交流活动和有关对外接待活动；负责对建筑艺术广场和中心休闲广场经营、管理、维修。几年来，我们本着“建管并重”的原则,强化“精品”意识,加大景区软硬件建设力度，艺术馆由一馆一场，发展至目前的“两馆、两场、一厅”，即建筑艺术展馆、城市建设规划展示馆、建筑艺术广场、中心休闲广场、地下商业厅，使索菲亚教堂景区成为我市新兴的旅游景点和对外窗口。
