国家AAA级旅游景区-索菲亚教堂景区位于美丽的松花江南岸，占地5万平方米，以其独特的建筑景观、欧域风情闻名于海内外。
    景区分为索菲亚教堂(建筑艺术展馆)、城市建设规划展示馆、建筑艺术广场、中心休闲广场、中心休闲广场地下多功能厅五个部分。
    景区内标志性建筑索菲亚教堂是目前中国保存最完美的典型拜占庭式建筑。这座诞生近百年的建筑充溢着迷人的色彩，教堂内的壁画、吊灯、钟楼及穹顶和唱诗台无一不显示丰富多采的人文景观和匠心独具的艺术特色，具有较高的历史文化价值和建筑艺术观赏价值。这里的一砖一石都是凝固的音乐，一草一木都魅力非凡。教堂规模宏大可与莫斯科瓦西里教堂媲美，造型精美绝伦堪与巴黎圣母院并列。宏伟壮观的穹顶，古朴典雅的墙面装饰再现欧域风情，整个景区凝聚着音乐的优美旋律与建筑智慧之光。
    夏日，景区绿草茵茵，花团锦簇，音乐喷泉抑扬顿挫，舞姿婆娑，悠扬的音乐伴广场鸽荡漾在蔚蓝的天空。冬日，景区素裹银装，白雪皑皑，好一派北国风光。景区内建有现代化专业展馆，近千幅精美的图片展示着文化名城哈尔滨的历史、现状与未来。比例为1:600、面积近400平方米的大型城市规划沙盘，运用了声、光、电及升降等高科技手段，描绘了未来哈尔滨的宏伟蓝图，堪称一绝。景区内陶吧、影吧及旱冰场等娱乐场所都以独特友好的姿态，张开双臂迎接您的到来。啤酒广场、冷饮广场则展示着“东方小巴黎”的风采。景区每年都吸引了数百万中外游客来此观光旅游、休闲度假。
